We still prepare and serve two meals a day, but they are now passed out at the door rather than served in the dining room. This week, we’ve served between 125–160 at each meal. We usually average 100 per meal.

This new arrangement brings extra cost and supply needs. Some of our most-needed items include:

  • Bottled water
  • Sliced bread
  • Lysol wipes/spray
  • Bleach cleaner
  • Clorox
  • Variety snacks
  • Individual chip bags
  • Vinyl gloves
  • Masks
  • Sandwich baggies

We update our needs list regularly on all social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter). Monetary donations can be made on our website. We need community support.

Lighthouse staff prepares, serves and cleans up after lunch, and volunteers do the same for dinner. We are working to establish a social distancing plan for guests as they wait in line on the sidewalk.

If you have a Sam’s Club membership, you can order items online for us to pickup. Please contact Allison Barnett via email or call (859) 259-3434 to arrange pickups or deliveries. To volunteer at dinner from 5–7, contact Stephanie Werne via email.
